TIMBERLAKE GETS SOCIAL: No stranger to tearing up the dance floor, Justin Timberlake will take over the runway on Oct. 17 when he will present the spring 2007 collection for his men's and women's lifestyle label, William Rast, at the members-only restaurant Social Hollywood on Sunset Boulevard. Due to be held during the middle of Los Angeles Fashion Week, Timberlake's first fashion show will include a performance by him and as-yet-undisclosed guest stars. Targeting buyers, celebrities and fashion press, the party will be spread between the old Hollywood-meets-Danish modern rooms in Social Hollywood and the adjacent nightclub Boulevard 3. It'll be a busy fall for the multitasking pop star, who's also been dabbling in acting and plans to release his sophomore solo album, "FutureSex/LoveSounds," on Sept. 12. Due to Timberlake's packed schedule, a spokeswoman for People's Liberation, the Los Angeles company that produces William Rast, said the opening of the first William Rast-branded store in Tokyo will be postponed from September to a later date yet to be determined. Separately, People's Liberation said it welcomed a new president on July 20. Ted Houston, former chief operating officer at premium denim label Rock & Republic, took over duties from Danny Guez, who remains chief executive officer.
